The Shift - Moving to Palm Beach

At first it wasn’t intentional. The snowbird lifestyle, after 20 years of hustling and bustling in the fast-paced New York environment, appealed to me. But was it for me? A New Yorker with a bold personality, high energy, and a need for speed. I was always on the go, expecting speedy service and attention to detail. The slow-paced Florida lifestyle just wasn’t for me… until it was.

I was always a beach lover after all, and the thought of the calm energy—the sound of waves and what it does to my soul—pulled me in. I was curious. A little young to be a snowbird and definitely premature financially. Florida, though? It wasn’t exactly my favorite place. But with my family gradually migrating to South Florida over the past decade, I decided it was time for my own adventure.

The adventure was eventful. Bouncing from Airbnbs to hotels, airports and car rental facilities—it was a lot. But I was determined. Knocking on doors, attending industry events, and mingling (networking) whenever and wherever I could.

I realized quickly that I had an edge.

At first I thought people were just complaining. But my experience has led me to believe there truly is a need here for discreet, highly professional service with a sharp attention to detail. The kind of service that anticipates needs before they are spoken. The kind of service that makes clients feel calm, supported, and completely taken care of.

That mindset—the New York mindset—is something that never leaves you.

In New York, excellence is expected. Timing matters. Precision matters. People notice the details. And while South Florida moves at a different rhythm, I began to see that the market here appreciates that level of care more than ever—especially within the luxury and wedding space.

What I once saw as a difference in pace, I began to see as an opportunity.

An opportunity to bring the polish, organization, and client experience I learned in New York into an environment that celebrates beauty, lifestyle, and meaningful moments. Palm trees instead of skyscrapers. Ocean breezes instead of city horns. But the same commitment to creating unforgettable experiences.

Somewhere between the networking events, the beach walks, and the quiet moments of reflection, Florida started to feel less like a temporary experiment… and more like the next chapter.

And just like that, the place I never imagined calling home began to grow on me.

Slowly. Then all at once.
